After working for many years under other custom home builders, James decided it was time to design and construct homes the way he knew people wanted to build: on their terms. With his own company, he set out to create a building experience that was as exciting and creative for clients as it was for him as a builder.
When you build with Artisan, you’ll get to know James right away. He’s an extremely hands-on business owner, deeply invested in every project that bears his company’s name. Spend five minutes with James and you’ll understand right away how Artisan is different than other custom home builders. He wants to know what YOU want in a home: what you’re excited about, what you’re wary of, and what unique details will fit the way you live. It’s unusual in this industry for a business owner to stay so involved in the start-to-finish process of building a custom home, but James wouldn’t have it any other way.

Carey is one of the first people you’ll meet at Artisan, and she’ll be with you every step of the way. From initial meetings to the final walk-through, she’s here to answer questions, translate “builder-speak,” provide you with updates, and guide you through design and selecting finishes. In a nutshell, she connects the dots between you, the designer, and the builder, making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
Carey is a licensed real estate agent, and has been helping families find their dream homes for almost 20 years. In that time, she’s become an expert on navigating the home building process and coordinating with all of the hands, parts and opinions that go into every project. Our clients will never see how hard Carey works for them because she’s made it her mission to absorb as much construction stress and problem-solving as possible, creating a smooth, enjoyable homebuilding and home buying experience for every family we serve.
